Do not run chkdsk /r on it as it can further ruin the drive. As long as windows is assigning a drive letter to the drive you stand a good chance of recovering your data (most if not all). Use a data recovery tool like Recuva or Easeus data recovery wizard to get whatever data you can get off the drive before trying to figure out a way to fix the drive.

I tried a few S.M.A.R.T programs and they all showed no problems with the HDD.
